Age: Extremely old; Undead
Canon or OC: Canon (FF I)
Weapons/Abilities: Entirely focussed on (black) magic. Spells: Blizzara, Sleepra, Haste, Thundara, Hold, Fira, Slow, Sleep, Death, Flare, and Stop. Also can make the world start to rot and drain power from the crystals.

Personality:
The Lich has a great hatred for mortality. He takes great pride in his status as a fiend and as an undead. Unlike the other fiends he discarded his living status for an undead status. Under him he has vampires working and prefers to keep to himself. When a mortal disturbs him, he gets annoyed and destroys anyone that causes trouble. He also has some pride in his magical powers, unlike some others he has attained great magical powers to battle.
The Lich is an intelligent individual and a highly magical being, having great black magical attacks, but can loose his temper easily. He worked with the other fiends and Chaos on a plan for a time loop, which they also set in motion in one timeline, but it ended before they started in another. He has no knowledge left of the first timeline and doesn’t know who the Warriors of Light exactly are, but hates them for ruining their plans.
He takes great joy in taking the power of the earth. Using his abilities to decay it and drain the soil of life. He hopes to create the world more lifeless much like himself. An undead paradise, so to say. Seeing how four people tried to stop him from doing so, he gets furious and is less likely to think out well or to flee before having regained his full strength.
History:
The Lich along with the other Fiends lived within the Chaos Shrine. Here they and Chaos, the God of Discord, worked on a plan to create a time loop. They were sent into the future by Chaos, so they could create Chaos and sent him into the past to send them into the future again. This would create an un-ending time loop where they would keep creating discord on the world.
In the first timeline the Lich made it to the future and in the Cavern of Earth he awoken third of the four Fiends. After having awakened, he was still weakened, but started to drain the power of the Earth Crystal. Because of him draining the Earth Crystal of its power, the earth in Melmond started to rot. Soon enough the Warriors of Light arrive there and learn about the decaying earth. They went to the Cavern of Earth to defeat a vampire who is thought to be behind it, but the vampire was only working for the Lich and this gave no result.
The Lich continued to drain the power of the Earth Crystal and the Warriors of Light searched the help of Sarda. Here they learned of the Lich’s existence and came down in the Cavern of Earth to the Earth Crystal. The Warriors of Light then challenge the Lich and after a battle, he was defeated. This caused the awakening of the Fiend of Fire before her time.
In another timeline, however, the plan ended when before the Lich and the other fiends could be sent into the future were defeated by the Warriors of Light of the first future timeline. The Lich resided on his own floor and was the first of the Fiends to attempt and stop the Warriors of Light for ruining their plans. While at his full strength, he was still defeated by the four Warriors of Light and destroyed before the plan was set forth.
Likes: Seeing the world rot, eternal existance, bringing everything to darkness.
Dislikes: Getting interrupted, having his work ruined, mortals.

Slowly rising up from the ground came a large skeleton in dark robes. Upon his head was a horned helmet and the eye sockets bore two lights. Faint lights that seemed to stare into the darkness of the place. He looked in the distance that seemed to be stretched out wide of only lava, rock and flames. A place that the Fiend of Fire would most likely feel at home. It came to his attention that he was on some round platform that stood high above and not far off was a stairs downward.
The Lich floated now upright and looked around. Behind him was a large throne. In the landscape there were two enormous swords and flames kept raining down outside the arena he was floating above. The place seemed empty otherwise. The earth was already decayed and dead, destroyed as well. This world seemed to be like how the Lich had hoped to create with the other Fiends and Chaos. The ultimate goal they had set up. Only... where are the people? The Lich questioned himself in his thoughts.
With that thought, he started to check his memories to see if there was anything wrong. He remembered getting destroyed by four people he didn’t knew. There were some vague memories among them, but he couldn’t make much sense of this. All he came at was that he, the great Lich, was defeated by four mortals. "If I died..." Lich started, but then stopped abruptly as an idea came to mind. "Of course, the other Fiends destroyed those mortals, or even Chaos, and then they brought me back..."
Quickly he started to think up how it came that none of the others were there. I was weakened and had to regain my strength, or even unconsciousness somehow, then when I was able to think clear, the others had left somewhere, the Lich figured and looked around at the throne. "I will have to wait then." He couldn’t think of how he could move around on the world while there seemed to be no life in sight for miles.
