Personality: When Elena started out she was a young, somewhat naïve, and overzealous individual who gave everything to hold up her professional image. A workaholic who thought the ideas of being a professional revolves around sacrificing one’s entire life to the job. Since these days Elena has matured, of course, time does to that, as does experience. This hasn’t changed the fact the young woman remains a rather energetic, on top of her game, member of the Turks, however Rookie is no longer a title anyone can accusingly address her as. A pet name from either Rude or Reno is acceptable, but anyone else is bound to find themselves in trouble.
Those who know Elena personally, outside the battlefield, find that she is a far deeper persona than she comes off, being both caring and self conscious person. She is incredibly loyal, and in that same sense protective of those she cares about, primarily the Turks. Once thought to have been unprofessional in her mind, Elena’s feelings for her teammates extend into a sort of dysfunctional family feeling. Sometimes she desires to throttle them, when they are in danger she’ll leap to their rescue, and without them she feels empty.
She is ruled by her emotions, which often makes her appear to be the weak link, but it also sets her apart. Elena struggles trying to ever hide how she feels, and most the time fails to bite her tongue even in front of her superiors. The small blonde’s temper can also get the better of her, leading her to often storm off, or as a certain blonde hero know, to strike out violently if she is extremely upset. These flares are temporary but forgiveness is not a quality that comes easy to her, as Cloud Strife knows, she holds a grudge against him to this day for what she believes to have happened to Tseng. Touch those she cares about and she is willing to drop all emotions and act mercilessly.
Still she is susceptible as to her female qualities also. She rarely cries but she can get choked up, or will sulk over her own failures, and she will become very self critical when depressed. As any does she also crushes rather hard, though she seems unsure how to handle the feelings of others, always used to be second best to individuals such as the beautiful Ancient. Most of the time however she enjoys appearing fairly upbeat, and the positive motivator to the rest of the Turks. She admires her superiors Rude, Reno, and Tseng greatly, though she shares unique relationships with each, and should any of them tell her to get in line, she’ll respond almost instantly (almost referring to Reno).
To this day Elena seems to also demonstrate a fear of men with silver hair, having been tortured by the remnants, she still struggles to forget the horrors the three men put her through. Against her normal personality it seems fairly buried, only when she sees individuals with such colored hair does she tend to jump to the conclusion probably Sephiroth remnant due to the color is unnatural to Gaia during her time.
History: Elena grew up in the Midgar Slums, with a father who served as a ShinRa Military Academy Firearms instructor, and sister who he pushed, she was left feeling rather deprived of attention. Always overshadowed by the accomplishments of her older sister, Elena struggled to make a place in the world, and originally decided to steer away from the idea of ShinRa. Unfortunately fate would drag her into involvement with the Turks, and the idea of joining ShinRa became appealing.
While at the academy Elena became what some called a prodigy. In the academy history she was the only student to receive five of the Elite Badges that students get when they become top of the class and surpass the standards set by the Instructors. Such top marks made her rather renown, though she participated in firearm usage, it was not her specialty wishing to distinguish herself from both her father and her sister (Gunner). Elena’s fate would again shift her to the Turks in yet another encounter. An encounter with AVALANCHE put her in the hostage position on a train when she attempted to single handedly stop the event, though it didn’t go so well. When the Turks stepped in and rescued her, Elena changed her plans, she intended on becoming a Turk, and surpass her sister’s accomplishments just as she had done in the academy.
Elena’s promotion to the Turks would come when Reno suffered injuries at the hands of AVALANCHE. Here she learned all too well that sometimes book knowledge only worked so far. For some time she struggled to find her place with her comrades, though her crush on Tseng at the time hardly helped, giving away their missions more than once, and her temper often getting her into trouble. However the unity of the Turks, such as Rude and Reno coming to rescue her from Don Corneo, helped to shape the potential talent into an actual Turk. While at the end ShinRa fell apart, and Rufus was left without a company, and suffering from Geostigma, she remained a loyal member to the Turks. She had found a family where, despite its strangeness, she belonged.
Two years after the Meteor Crisis the young woman was sent to investigate North Crater, mission to locate Jenova’s head, with Tseng. Unfortunately in the crater Elena and Tseng encountered forces unlike any other, Sephiroth’s Remnants. Elena and Tseng managed to give the head to Reno, they remained trapped with Kadaj, Yazoo, and Loz, who won the fight in the end. The two Turks were tortured and presumed dead until Vincent Valentine came to their rescue. With little recovery, duty again called, and Elena headed to Edge to participate in the final battle. Serving to aid Rude and Reno, then with Tseng catch Rufus as he plunged to the ground forcing Kadaj to chase him. For once they got to be good guys, much to Elena’s relief, as with Rufus’s personal change of mission, the Turk’s mission changed too.
Up until recently Elena has continued to serve as a member of the Turks, which is a role of being Rufus’s bodyguard really. Her luck only continues to go awry as she is ripped from her world, into these new ruins, and so far she cannot find her fellow Turks.

RP Sample:”Reno?” She called out as she stared over the piles of rubble, it didn’t even resemble Midgar anymore, and that was saying something. Midgar had been in ruins before, from the Sector 7 plate drop, to the Meteor, to the outer regions of Edge having to deal with both the summoning of Bahamut and some entity that the World Regenesis Organization had to deal with. While she served as a member of the Turks, Rufus was the benefactor to the WRO, which made Elena somewhat tied in. She was never not in the know of what was happening in the world, except for now, and it was terrifying. “Rude?...Tseng?!” A small whimper escaped her as she sank to the down to her knees realizing no one was going to respond, somehow, she was lost.
“…Don’t be weak, Elena.” Lightly chiding herself, quoting Reno, as she began to rise back up again. How did everyone she know just go missing, where on earth could they be, god she’d even be content with seeing the blonde haired jerk. Smoothing her hair she moved towards some of the rubble, then tilting her head upward she noticed it still standing, the Shinra Building. Was anyone still going to be in there? “It’s worth a shot… someone has to be in there right, maybe the boss even!”
Before she could take any steps further she turned noticing several men approaching her, men dressed in garbs unlike anything she’d ever seen before. “What the…? Who on earth dresses like that, kind of stupid looking.” The comment however didn’t appear to hit this ears, they looked to upset about something else. Shifting a little uncomfortably the men stop in front of her, “…Can I help you?” The attempt was made to sound sweet, yet a sharpness present to show she was wary of them.
“Are you native here?” Elena paused staring at the man as if he’d just asked her a simple, obvious fact, like if she was a woman. Turning completely around she gently nodded her head, “Um, yes. This is Midgar you know… Why wouldn’t I be from here?” When she noticed their stance also change, she wished she’d remained quiet. Their weapons were drawn, and soon enough so was her gun, did these men know where the Turks were? “No one has to get hurt, put your weapons away, or I’ll-”
“By degree of our lord, all foreigners are to be eliminated on sight.” Stated one soldier simply. Elena’s expression shifted, the seriousness of the situation starting to sink in. Whatever was going one wasn’t good, and even worse they weren’t welcomed. Her partners must have encountered this sort of trouble, but like her, they had survived far worse. “If it’s going to be like that…” Slowly her hand reached into her jacket, gun pointed at them, slowly she revealed a explosive device, handcrafted by Rude. “You’ll have to catch me first.” Pressing the bottom she then tossed it towards the crowd before taking off in a sprint, leaving them to be consumed in the flames.
