Somehow she had managed to lose them. Whatever she had done, perhaps wasn’t the smartest maneuver, but the fact was it had become life or death. Pressing her back behind a wall the small Turk sighed, tucking her gun back to her jacket, and wiping a bit of dried blood from her cheek. At the moment she really could figured out if it was her own or if in a close encounter a kick to a guard’s face had cause the nose to bleed profusely. The thought made her cringe a bit, the gun was used to avoid such mishaps, but right now she wasn’t certain how long she was going to last. “Where in the name of Minerva could you all be…” She muttered to herself before pulling herself off the wall carefully.
She hadn’t seen any sign of her fellow Turks, alive or dead, which was starting to worry her. If she was here, they had to be too right? There was nothing great about her that she hadn’t done without her partners, so it couldn’t have been a selective process in which she had come over them. After all she was currently running through the ruins of the runs of Midgar, which may have meant part of Edge also. How many had come across the very same path she had? Were there any others? She hadn’t seen any faces but those soldiers, and it was far more than she had previously wanted to.
Don’t be weak…. Don’t be weak.[/i]
Again and again she repeated their words in her mind, it made her feel somewhat better. Who knew she’d be one her own for once. There was a time where she knew that Turks often took solo missions, in a golden age of ShinRa Electric Company, days when her sister had worn the uniform. Elena had joined during the decline, and thus she stood amongst comrades, never on her own. Even in her darkest torment there had been others there, even if she didn’t confide in them about the horrors of her mind at times. This felt like a nightmare, running around, attempting to survive, and isolated from the individuals she called her comrades. Bowing her head for a moment, she let out a staggered breath before pushing off the wall again to begin moving.
As she moved her eyes scanned for any sign of the units following her. So far, so good[/i]. Elena thought, not daring to speak in fear of cursing herself. Slowly she walked back towards the path she’d just take, ducking to see the body of one of the men on the ground, she hadn’t meant to kill anyone. It’d been awhile since she’d had to do anything so gruesome, sure she was a Turk, and they did all sorts of dirty work, but Elena had been around in a time where monsters were the enemy… not people. Sure she attempted to kill the Meteor Fall Heroes, but those were orders, and she had been reluctant in that even. Softly she sighed before turning away, pushing strands of blonde hair out of her face, though there was no hope in getting it back into tame style at the moment. “Come…on, Elena. You’ve survived Meteor… Remnants… Deepground… can’t let this take you down now. It’d be a cheap death… that’s what Reno would call it.”
Turning around she stopped, hand moving to her jacket as she noticed two of the remain men who’d been chasing her circling the area. They’d narrowed in on her, damn it, she’d have to escape… which meant possibly more bloodshed. If this is what it took to see the Turks again, so be it… would they be impressed with their littlest member making her way like this?[/size]

There was crap in his hair, his suit was filthy, his EMR was barely working and his goddamn goggles werebroken. Teal gaze snapped around, when he saw a bunch of guys chasing after some blonde girl. Her voice sounded familliar, and it made the Turk blink. That voice..it sounded like...Elena?.
He quickly ran up a building, being the awesome guy that he was, and crouched down, watching as two guys closed in on her. A smug smirk appeared on his features, and he acted. Jumping bravely down from the building floor he was on, he snapped his EMR on, and cracked the dude upside the head with the electric rod. He gave a pleased smirk painted his features, and he stood up straight. Yup. Definately Elena. She looked a bit freaked out, so , he strolled over to her, and his smirk turned into a smile.
"Elena...how's it goin yo?" He asked in that partially annoying style of his. He hadn't seen Elena since that fatal accident in that place, where he had to land the helicopter, and she had died. Thinking about that brought a frown to Reno's face, and he looked her over "How'd you get here?" He inquired, turning off his EMR and glancing at the other dude that was still concious. Heh. This crappy day was getting a little better, he had initiated a fight and he had reunited with Elena. He had to admit, that sure as hell made the day worthwhile.
Question was, how'd she come back?

She was prepping herself currently for another round, with two to go it mean she’d need to conserve her ammo. Their technological advancement was still iffy, their basic weapons yet unusual clothing made impossible to decide if they had other heavy arsenal still hidden away. Stepping out she pointed her gun in the direction of the men, bringing herself into plain sight, gathering their attention. Before she could execute the plan however, unexpected fortune dropped down in the shape of a disheveled, black suit clad, red haired man. The unforgettable EMR kicking and sending a electric shock into the back of the man’s skull, as if the velocity of getting hit from a guy jumping off a building hadn’t been enough. Elena took a moment to simply stare, somewhat shocked to see the red-head again come to her rescue.
Quickly she remembered the second man who’d been knocked down as Reno leapt down onto his partner. Acting quickly she put a bullet in the man, not a fatal shot, actually a million dollar injury, bullet to the rear. At this it guaranteed he wouldn’t be moving any time soon. Tucking away her gun she turned her attention back to Reno, brown eyes still wide in disbelief, “Reno…” She breathed a small sigh of relief before catching herself, noticing his casual nature about the greeting, and how she was there scared for his life only moments prior.
“How does it look like its going!?” She exclaimed somewhat exasperated, “Ohmygoddess, you have me worried sick you jerk, you and Rude both!” As he moved to meet him, her dainty fist gave him a punch in the arm. Already her emotions were swirling mixed with anguish, glee, and rage all directed at this one individuals. “I don’t know… One moment I’m in my room, then I’m in the middle of these ruins. And I couldn’t find anyone else! Then these men claimed all foreigners had to be eliminated, so I’ve spent this day dodging….killing them… How does that look like its going….” Elena could lose her mind at any moment now. “…How can you be so casual, I thought you guys may have been dead.” Finally she wiped the edges of her eyes looking up at him moderately frustrated.
“But…thank you, for saving me, again.… I’m glad you’re alright, is Rude and Tseng with you? What about the Boss?”

Reno twirled the deactivated EMR in his hand and blinked as Elena punched him, it didn't hurt, but just felt like a fly had swatted him, or bumped into him..or..something. It didn't hurt, just was kind of irritating. At the mention of Rude, Tseng, and Rufus (AKA The Boss) Reno's gaze dropped and he looked away, biting his lip.
His lanky frame drooped just a little. He hadn't seen them at all yet, and he was really worried about their well-being. He hadn't seen them, he hadn't even HEARD from them. A deep sigh escaped the usually cocky redhead and he shook his head, crossing his arms, and frowning deeply. This sucked. Not being around Rude really sucked though. He had been damn near inseparable from Rude since they partnered up. Now he was alone, but seeing Elena kind of cheered him up.
He grinned at her, and straightened himself out, brushing a bit of dust from his black suit. He pulled his goggles off, and frowned at them, looking anywhere but at Elena. He didn't want to admit that he hadn't even thought about them until now.
"Haven't seen or heard from them at all yo..me? dead, c'mon....you know me better than that Elena!" Reno replied in an oddly subdued voice.

That’s right, she did know Reno better than that, if Reno was dead Rude would have to be too. In some strange link the hetero life mates seemed entirely reliant on the other for support, but without the other it seemed almost impossible to take one down. She called the explosion on the highway, Rude’s handmade grenades lighting up the sky, taking out Yazoo and Loz for a good while, though they thought the two may have taken out themselves. Somehow the two managed to survive, they always did, just as Tseng managed to somehow always escape from the brink of death after getting a fatal wound. Did she bear that luck too? The ability to survive the worst situations, how she hoped so, she needed that sort of luck.
“I know. Doesn’t mean I don’t worry though.” It was all she could muster as she regained her composure. Thos entire day was a swirl of confusion, and it didn’t seem as though it would get easier anytime soon. The faintest smile crossed her lips however as she allowed herself to fall into ease, they were gone for the moment, “Well at least we have the guys that were after me off our backs, there weren’t by chance any chasing you?”
Briefly she scanned him over, noting the broken goggles, “ We’ll need to get those fixed.” Starting to already create a list in her mind of what they could start doing, “The only thing we know is… all of them are alive and somewhere… perhaps scattered through Midgar. Rude, Tseng and Rufus… they’re survived worse huh?” This statement was not so much to assure Reno, as to assure herself the other Turks would be fine. Walking over to Reno, she snagged a few bits of debris from his vibrant red hair, then tossed them down.
“I imagine you’ve been on the run too then. Not sure who this leader is but he really wants us dead.

Reno gave a low chuckle at her worry and ruffled her blonde hair. Truly, he had missed Elena, and seeing her was one hell of a relief. His soft blue gaze looked her and he grinned in that cheeky way of his."People don't chase me..I chase them" he stuck his tongue out at her after that and reluctantly took his goggles off of his head, looking at them mournfully. His goggles were shattered, and it upset him. bangs fell into his eyes and he frowned. Well, there was the reason he wore his goggles. His stupid bangs were always getting in his eyes. Raising a hand, he shoved his bangs out of his face, an annoyed look on his face already.
"They'll be fine, as long as Rude's around the Pres, we've got no reason to worry..." Reno replied and shook his head. He hoped everyone was alright. Although he tried to hide it most of the time, Reno really did care about his boss, and Tseng, and everyone else. Reno sighed a little and shook his head, he had to get the image of near-dead Rufus out of his head, it was bothering him to no end.
"Yeah, I've been kinda hiding and stuff yo..can't be too careful with hunters around" He stated in a thoughtful tone "Let's get inside somewhere 'stead of being insanely exposed like this, alright?" He suggested. He really didn't want to see Elena get riddled with bullets, or risk his perfect figure with scars from yanking out bullets and stitching him up. (What? He likes how he looks!!)

Elena scrunched her face at his comment about being chased. Sure he walked right out into fights but that did not mean he wasn’t capable of being pursued by the authority figures. He kept trying to lighten the mood somewhat, which worked to an extent with his presence, though his choice of dialogue kept Elena scolding him. She didn’t even attempt to fix her hair, it’d been a mess before Reno got his hands on it, he simply added to the damage. She was going to need a shower somewhere that’s for certain. Slowly she began to access herself, noticing small blood spots, looks like she hadn’t gotten away entirely scratch free.
“Some knight in shining armor you are.” She remarked somewhat sarcastically, something she’d picked up from Reno actually from over the years they’d known each other. As he took the goggles off Elena managed to snatch them from his hand, “You should learn to carry extra like Rude does sunglasses.” She commented before accessing their damage now, what scuffle was he not telling her about, her eyes shifted to him somewhat in concern before she covered it with a smile, “ You’re right…if Rude and Tseng are with the Boss then there shouldn’t be any problems, after all Tseng can handle himself in most dire situations and Rude, well Rude will crush anyone in his way.” A bit of hope lit up within the Turk as glanced around.
“Right…inside. Well the best place I think would be someplace rather unexpected I guess…any ideas, hero?”

Knight in shining armour? Hero? Reno felt his ego boost up far past that of what it already was. He straightened his slouch, and smiled at Elena. They really had to find a safe place, although, looking around, Reno frowned a little bit, there weren't many buildings that looked safe to the redhead, but, what choice did they have? Hell, any time now they could get attacked, and frankly, Reno was sort of feeling the jolt now from that jump he had landed so perfectly. Soft eyes narrowed as they locked onto a safe looking building. Without another word, Reno started walking towards it, his long ponytail gently bouncing at his back as he did so. He growled in irritation at the fact that he had no goggles on, and shoved his bangs out of his face yet again.
"Elena, gimme my goggles back please" He looked over his shoulder at the blonde, brushing those damn bangs aside. He was getting irritated, and an irritated Reno was never a good thing. His fuse was short enough already without him being constantly annoyed.
